Shaklee’s Market Research
Department determined that Shaklee is the number
one natural nutrition
company in the United States based upon
information provided in the Nutrition
Business Journal (NBJ) and a review of labels of competitive products.
The NBJ’s 2009 report, based on 2008 data, lists companies in the nutrition
sector by sales. Shaklee purchased competitive products of companies with higher sales and reviewed their
labels for the presence of artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.
Each of these companies had one or more of artificial ingredients in their
products. Among those companies who avoid
the use of artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors and other additives,
Shaklee had the highest sales. Based upon this review, Market Research
concluded that Shaklee is the number one natural nutrition
company in the U.S.
