“This year, thanks to Cinch®, I will be celebrating being 25 pounds and 27.5 inches healthier!† I hope to inspire others to know that they too can get their extra weight off and feel good! Because of the ease and convenience of Cinch I was even able stay healthy and fit through a nine month period of not being able to walk, run or use the elliptical machine, after injuring my Achilles in January 2009. I have begun walking again but Cinch helped me keep FIT during that time!”

† Results not typical. In a 12-week pilot study, participants lost an average of 1.5 lbs per week.

Dr. Oz's 2010 Critical Vitamin Checklist

Ok, Dr. Oz, I am one of your biggest fans, have not missed a show yet and love 99% of what you say, but sometimes I've got to come here and rant! I think telling people to take a cheap Multi-vitamin that might cost $2.40/month and holding up a RED Multi-vitamin is quite irresponsible.

After all, a Multi-vitamin should contain everything we need in our day and come from all those fruits and veggies you had on the table, right? Only one or two of those were red, so where does that FAKE Multi get it's color from? Certainly not fruits and vegetables. Probably chemicals (artificial colors), which on most shows, including today, you tell us to use natural products, right? Why not recommend natural when it comes to vitamins that we are ingesting into our bodies for our very basic health and survival?! What do you take? I can almost guarantee that you do not take what you had on the show yesterday!

Then of course there is the whole huge issue of no one having proof that what they say is in their vitamins are actually in them and even if it does say "natural" it only has to be 15% natural to be labeled as such.

I think the common person does not even know that NO supplements sold OTC, vitamins, herbs, etc. are regulated by the FDA, or anyone for that matter!! Why don't you tell your audience the truth? Why don't you tell them they are the guinea pigs if they go and purchase something that's never been tested on humans before they purchase it? The only time the FDA steps in is when people start to get sick or die (remember the Cambridge Diet or more recently ephedra ban?).

There is only ONE company in the U.S. that has PROOF that their vitamins work and that the people who took them for over a 20 year period had "markedly better health" and that is the #1 Natural Nutrition Company in the U.S., the oldest and largest, The Shaklee Corporation. This video will show you the Shaklee Difference and here is that Landmark Study PROVING the products work. They are the ONLY company with over 100 clinical scientific papers on their products, with 90 of them published.

So why, Dr. Oz, since everyone listens to you, why don't you tell them the REAL truth about vitamins? I believe it is your responsibility. And besides, if you take Shaklee's Multi-vitamin/Multi-mineral, you get all the Vit. D you need in it and you don't have to take a separate Vit. D!!!!!! :)

Thanks for listening and I hope you do something to let the people know the very poor quality of most vitamins on the market today, especially when there is a better choice. As a matter of fact, that Landmark Study also proved that in some cases, it was better to take nothing than to take a brand that was not Shaklee!!!!!! For .38 a day you can actually get a Multi that is proven to work. Omegaguard (fish oil) is .86 per day.

Would you rather spend $1.24 per day on something that is guaranteed and proven to work, or .50 per day on something that has not been overseen by anyone, probably not tested, not proven to work, probably full of artificial ingredients, might help you, but might harm you as well? I think America deserves to know there is a choice and a difference and if given the right information, we are smart enough to choose the right thing.

Thank you!

Weight Loss Camp: Family Makes Losing Weight Priority, Pound By Pound - ABC News

Happy New Year!

I just watched the Nightline segment on the Weight Loss Camp and here is my take on it.

Nightline Fact: 2/3 of Americans are overweight or obese which means that only 1/3 of Americans are NOT overweight!

Ok, so this woman spends $7900 on her credit card for 2 weeks so her and her son can learn everything that Cinch also teaches: 10,000 steps a day, record your food to become aware of what you are eating, more exercise, etc. They could have BOTH lost 100# over a years time for that same money and learned the same things with Cinch. Actually, learned better things because these people at the camp use artificial sweeteners in their program!!!! The clients are left to their own to go shopping ~ while looking for food items with low fat and low calories, they were choosing things with artificial flavors, sweeteners and probably preservatives. These come with their own sets of health problems, either now, or later in life! I called them "things" because some of it is not even food, just things made to look like food.

My two problems with this program are the added credit card debt and the artificial ingredients. Neither of those represent real health. Don't get me wrong, otherwise this program looks good and is a good jump start, but for the same money, Cinch is 100% Natural, and easier to follow, because after 2 weeks you would not be left to your own to find what to eat. It's all included in the plan!
You learn the same things that people who attend this camp are paying a LOT of money for!

Many people will be trying to lose weight this year and there are some good plans out there but MOST are NOT healthy or good for you. I'm so glad I found one that is and I'm so glad I don't have to have a resolution to lose weight anymore, thanks to Cinch! Here is my story. I have kept it off just shy of 3 years now and that is with an Achilles injury where I could not walk or run for 9 months in 2009!!

My congrats to the mother and son as they are continuing their weight loss. I hope they keep it up.
